Range of Motion (ROM) is the potential movement a joint can move in various directions or planes.
It can be active (AROM): Movement is performed by the individual. It can be passive (PROM): Movement is applied outside of the individual. For the purpose of adapting Alive Activities, it will be assumed that the OT will use clinical judgement in the type of ROM. Unless otherwise stated, the activity can be implemented using both AROM and PROM.

Occupational Therapy Practioner Pediatric Mentorship
I am excited to share 35+ years of occupational therapy experience to grow and expand your practice area. My specialty areas are pediatrics, school-based OT, and sensory integration/sensory processing. I have spent most of my career as a School-Based Occupational Therapist but have also worked in outpatient and home environments. I have had the unique opportunity as an Educational Administrator leading a rapidly growing related service department. My passion is serving others to learn, grow, and be more confident in living and working with children.
Mentoring others in a profession promotes and enhances the development of a profession through teaching and instructing while passing on clinical reasoning skills. Therapists who take on a mentor role are intentional and pass on experience to help others grow as therapists.
